COMBINED CYCLE
Lower shipping cost, easier installation, dry run capability, reduced fiscal plant needs and less ongoing maintenance all combine to help owners and operators generate more money from their combined cycle plants utilizing OTSG.

The OTSG combined with an existing steam turbine offers the most efficient method of steam production and power regeneration available today. This type of application is most effective when utilizing the OTSG technology.
The following chart illustrates the significant benefits of an OTSG application over traditional drum-type HRSGs for Combined Cycle plants.

While the unique but simple design of the OTSG can translate into equal capital cost when compared to the traditional drum-type HRSGs, once installed, the OSTG system is expected to have significantly lower overall startup cost. On a life cycle basis, the OSTG costs less to operate because of the reduced maintenance requirements, lack of blow-down systems, lack of exhaust gas diverter valves & bypass stacks, faster start-ups, and many more important operational efficiencies.
